Four arms, one foot, and a head.

Heres a riddle for you: What has four arms, one leg and a head? Why, and Ethereal Filcher, of course! Yes, once again I'm folding something for the english forum's monthly challenge, which is the d20 challenge this month. This was suggested by Joseph Wu, along with the Behir. I didn't like the Behir, so I went with this (because it looked starnge). The Ethereal Filcher is CP is based on the Arrowhawk CP. It is out of a 32:16 grid

As you can see, all I did was add hands to what were formerly wings (but now are arms)

Anyway, this model requires a bit of shaping, but it shouldn't be too hard once you get the CP collapsed. The hardest part is probably getting it to stand on its one foot

Chuul

Another model for the english forum's d20 challenge. I don't think that this model is quite as good as the arrowhawk. In the original CP, there were more points on the face (instead of just two), but I had to take those out because the front arms were too short. In fact, quite a lot of thinghad to be changed because of that. Here's what I ended up with, out of a 32:32 grid:


And heres what the model should end up looking like. Be sure to widen the end of the tail, like that of a lobster. Thats pretty much what a Chuul is, after all

Arrowhawk

This month's challenge on the english forum is the d20 challenge. In other words, it's folding things from dungeons and dragons. At first, not liking "D&D", I didn't really like the idea. However, after seeing all the different types of things I could choose, I decided that it might actually be a fun challenge. I decided to start with the arrowhawk, which I folded out of a 2:1 rectangle with a 32:16 grid


At first, I actually tried to make this out a square. But that way it ended up with a really long body.
Anyway, heres what you should get when you collapse the base and add the proper details:

Way Too Many Legs

This would probably be my most complicated design so far. However, I didn't manage to even get the right amount of legs, and a couple small things are missing. Recently, Sipho Mabona started a trilobite challenge on flickr. As always, I decided to try it out. I made up a CP, and only had to make some changes in the top corners of the original. I ended up with this, from a 32:32 grid


With a lot of determination, that CP can fold into the following little Trilobite

Pine Sawyer

The other day, I met a bug. I kept it in a bottle by the computer for long enough to find out that he was a White Spotted Pine Sawyer. However, I didn't get to take a picture of him. After a couple of days, I let him free. Luckily for him, he hadn't starved.
So today I decided to design one, which proved to be easier said than done. Eventually, I came up with this crease pattern. No changes had to be made to it, the CP worked perfectly. It is from a 32:32 grid


All thats needed is a fold to get the body shorter, and a bit of color changing for the little white spot on its back.
